Yamaha Motor India has launched the updated version of its popular scooter Aerox 155 S with smart-key technology in the Indian market. This advanced system provides features like answer back, lock/unlock and immobilizer.
The Answer Back feature helps the rider activate the blinker and buzzer sound to find his scooter in the crowd. The immobilizer function allows the scooter to be locked when it goes out of range of the smart-key. This protects the scooter from theft.
Apart from this, this maxi-sports scooter is the first scooter in India to offer Traction Control System (TCS) in its segment. The Arox 155S Blue Square is available in two color options – Silver and Racing Blue in the showroom. Its price is Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 2024 Yamaha Aerox 155S version, like the regular variant, has a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which generates power of 14.79 bhp at 8000 rpm and peak torque of 13.9 nm at 6500RPM.
This engine has been updated with on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) system as per BS6 Phase-2 norms. With this, it will now also run on E20 fuel.
