Bajaj Auto has launched its updated subs 'NS' naked street fighter range in India comprising the NS160 and NS200. Both the bikes get upside-down (USD) forks and unconnected channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

The NS160 will compete against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Hero Xtreme 160R and the Honda Xblad 160 in the Indian market. On the other hand, you will get NS200 in its guise from bikes like TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and KTM Duke 200. Both the bikes come with Pearl Metallic White and Black color options.

Both the bikes are clean

The engines of both the bikes have been updated as per the BS6 Phase-II emission norms. These new add-ons have made both the bikes visible by up to Rs 10,000 more than their current counterparts. The company has priced the Pulsar NS160 at Rs 1.35 lakh and the NS200 at Rs 1.47 lakh, all prices ex-showroom Delhi.

The new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is powered by a 199.5CC single cylinder liquid cooled, triple spark, 4-valve FI DTS-i engine, which generates 24.5 PS of power and 18.74 Nm of torque. This engine is tuned with 6 speed manual gearbox.

On the other hand, the new Pulsar NS160 has a 160.3CC single cylinder oil cooled twin spark DTS-i FI engine, which generates power of 17.2 PS and torque of 14.6 Nm. It is tuned with a 5 speed manual gearbox.

Both the NS160 and NS200 are the first bikes from Bajaj to get upside down forks. Apart from this, mono-shock absorber has been given in the rear. In both the bikes, the company has given light alloy wheels designed for Pulsar 250.

This has brought down the curb weight of the NS200 from 159.5 KG to 158 KG and that of the NS160 to 152 KG. Both the bikes get an updated semi-digital instrument console with gear position indicator. However, features like smartphone connectivity and navigation features are still missing.
