The number of new car models being introduced in our market has increased significantly as a result of the Indian auto industry's fast growth. There is always a lot of interest in upcoming cars when you prepare to buy your next car because there are so many new cars introduced each year. Here are the most awaited upcoming cars in India that are set to be released in 2023, in addition to the vehicles that are currently on the market.

Mahindra XUV400 EV

The Mahindra XUV400 is the first car on this list of upcoming cars in India. Launched in January 2023, the XUV400 is an electric SUV based on the XUV300. With a powertrain that uses a 39.4 kW battery to provide 147 horsepower and 310 Nm torque, it is ideal for customers searching for a Nexon EV substitute. Its claimed range is 456 kilometres, and its 0-100 kmph sprint takes 8.3 seconds. The pricing is decided to start at 16–17 lakhs, and features include a 7" touchscreen, LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster, driving modes, and dual-zone temperature control.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door

The MahindraThar 5-door enhances the functionality and convenience of the two-door 44 SUV by adding a lengthy wheelbase to the Thar. By the first quarter of 2023, it may be available in showrooms after it debuts at the Auto Expo in 2023. Although it will have a superior chassis to support the added length while maintaining its 44 capabilities, the feature list will be much the same as the normal Thar.

The cost is anticipated to be lakhs of rupees more than the standard Thar. Therefore, among all of these upcoming cars in India, keep an eye out for the 5-door Thar if you're searching for an SUV that is ideal for all of your demands.

Harrier 2023 Facelift

SUVs are popular right now, and car manufacturers have benefited from this trend. There are a few creatures out there that hold the soul of a real SUV, even though some SUVs are simply SUVs by name. A good illustration of this is Tata's upcoming redesign of the Harrier. It is an SUV with a powerful road presence and sturdy construction, making it the vehicle of choice for lengthy journeys.

Additionally, it will take some of the Safari's amenities, such as an automatic parking brake, wireless charging, and an upgrade to 18-inch alloy wheels. In addition, keep a watch out for the facelift's improved touchscreen and 360-degree camera!

Altroz EV

The Tata Altroz EV is the second electric vehicle (EV) on our list of upcoming cars in India, and when it is released, it is expected to cause a stir. It is a high-end hatchback that will be propelled by an electric drivetrain. Tata Motors developed it from the ICE version of the Altroz. It is expected to enter the market in the middle of 2023 and will probably cost more than the Tigor EV.

However, given the quick development of EV technology, it could be less expensive than that. The Altroz EV is expected to include regenerative braking, a modern appearance, and a substantial range.

Maruti Jimny

The five-door Maruti Jimny has been spotted several times, and it's expected to go on sale sometime in 2019. It is a fantastic value for money choice for people searching for a small off-roading SUV because it will be available at an inexpensive price range of roughly 10 lakh. The Jimny is boxy in shape, has few overhangs, and has a substantial ground clearance.

things include a multifunction steering wheel, automatic temperature control, and a 7-inch touchscreen. Off-road-focused and more mechanical in nature are the key attractions. Included in this is an Allgrip Pro AWD system, which enhances the entire off-roading experience by reducing speeds and amplifying torque as needed.

Seltos 2023 Facelift

The Kia Seltos facelift, which had its international debut in June, is expected to be on sale in India around the middle of 2023. To better compete with rivals, the mid-size SUV has undergone revisions.

Speaking of upgrades, it will receive a new exterior in keeping with Kia's new design ethos. Regarding the inside, Kia hasn't given a comprehensive list of features. The updated SUV is expected to include more contemporary and safety features, such as a new curved touchscreen infotainment system. It is unclear, though, if the ADAS would be included in the vehicle built for India.

The Seltos 2023 Facelift will be powered by the same trio of engines as the current model: a 114 PS 1.5-litre diesel, a 140 PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol.
