The price of bars in several places throughout the country has dropped by up to Rs 4,500 per tonne.

After steadily rising for almost a month and a half, the price of Saria has begun to fall once more. This is encouraging news for those who want to build their own home. Bars are the most crucial material for a structure's strength, and their inexpensive cost reduces the cost of building a house. In the recent two weeks, the price of bars in several places throughout the country has dropped by up to Rs 4,500 per tonne.

Due to this, the prices started decreasing

Building material prices reached an all-time high in March and April of this year. Following it, the prices of products such as Saria and cement fell dramatically. Bar fees, in particular, were regularly cut until the first week of June. In the instance of sariya, the prices were nearly cut in half.

However, as soon as the monsoon season arrived in June, their prices began to rise significantly once more. Almost every week for the last one and a half months, the price of bars has risen by Rs 1000. Almost every section of the country is now suffering heavy rains, which has slowed building activity. This has influenced the demand for other materials, such as bars. Because of the drop in demand, their prices have begun to soften once more.

Sariya became record cheap in June

In March, in some places, the price of bars had reached 85 thousand rupees a tonne. Right now it is available at the price of Rs 47,300 to Rs 5,8000 per tonne according to different cities. In the first week of June, it had come down to Rs 44 thousand a ton in many places. The price of branded bars had also come down to Rs 80-85 thousand per tonne at the beginning of last month, which had reached near Rs 01 lakh per tonne in March 2022. Now again the bar has started falling rapidly towards the lower level.
