
IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is preparing to end hybrid-work. The company, in an internal e-mail, has asked its work force to attend office 5 days a week from October 1. This means that the company is looking to end the work-from-home policy completely soon.
According to reports, an email has been sent by the company to only a few employees asking them to come to office 5 days a week. But the company may soon call all its employees to office to work 5 days a week. TCS employs millions of Indian employees in the IT services sector.
However, no official information has been given yet by TCS regarding ending work-from-home. Even after ending work-from-home, the company can maintain some hybrid policies.
After the arrival of the Corona virus epidemic, many companies of the world including TCS had asked their employees to work from home. After the pandemic was over, TCS had asked employees in September last year to follow the roster and come to the office to work three days a week. Then the company had also warned the employees who did not follow the roster of facing consequences.
TCS has about 6,15,318 employees. According to the company's annual report for the financial year 2023, the work force that TCS has has been hired after March 2020. In the first quarter (April-June) of FY 2023-24, the annual net profit of TCS increased by 16.83% to Rs 11,074 crore. In the same quarter last year, this figure was Rs 9,478 crore. TCS's consolidated revenue in Q1FY24 was up 13% year-on-year at Rs 59,381 crore.
