Czech Republican car maker company Skoda Auto has introduced the concept model of its entry level electric car Epic. This will be the company's smallest and cheapest car so far. The company will launch it in the global market by 2025, after which it will be launched in the Indian market.

According to the company, the price of the new electric car will be around 25,000 Euro (approximately Rs 23 lakh). It will compete with Volkswagen ID.2 electric hatchback in the global market and Tata Nexon in India. This will be the company's second electric car. An even cheaper model can be launched in the future.

Currently, Skoda's only EV available in the global market is Enyaq, which can be launched in India by the end of this year. Enyaq's India-launched model was unveiled at the Mobility Expo in February. This car will be sold in India as a completely built unit.

You will get a range of 400 kilometers on full charge

The company has not disclosed the specifications of the car, but some media reports claim that Skoda may offer the entry level electric SUV with two battery pack options. It may have 38kWh and 56kWh battery pack units. The car will run 400km once fully charged.

The electric car will be based on Volkswagen Group's MEB entry platform. Its design is inspired by modern solid styling. The front of the Epic EV features a sculpted bonnet with the Skoda wordmark and unique LED lighting elements.

The company's signature grill will be available in the car. New T-shaped LED DRLs are provided on both sides of the grille and headlights with matrix LED technology are provided below it. The bumper has massive vertical slats, which look like a Jeep SUV to us.

Flared wheel arches have been given on the side of Skoda Epic. The car has a glass sloping roof. The roof spoiler is merged into the roof line for aerodynamic efficiency. At the rear, it has T-shaped LED taillights and a strong bumper and Skoda's dark chrome badging on the tailgate.
