Saudi Arabia Summit may lead to Weakening of relations in Kashmir

There may be tension in relations with Saudi Arabia having friendly relations with India. Saudi Arabia has decided to convene the Organization of Islamic Cooperation summit on the Kashmir issue. This will include foreign ministers of countries associated with the Islamic organization. It is believed that Saudi Arabia has taken this decision in order to distance Pakistan from the Islamic Summit organized by Malaysia last week. Saudi Arabia and the UAE had decided to stay away from the summit.

This week, Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhad al-Saud has informed the Government of Pakistan about this summit in his visit to Islamabad. It is being said that Pakistan had also opted out of a meeting convened last week in Kuala Lumpur under the chairmanship of Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohammad. Saudi Arabia is considering this attempt by Malaysia to create an organization parallel to the Islamic Organization.

Apart from Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistan was also mainly involved in the summit organized by Malaysia, but made a distance at the last moment. The presence of Iran's President Hassan Rouhani at the summit on Muslim-related issues around the world was also a reason for Saudi Arabia to distance itself.

The date has not yet been announced by Saudi Arabia regarding the summit of foreign ministers on the Kashmir issue. But it is clear that Saudi Arabia's relations with India will be affected by its decision. In the last few years, there were friendly relations between Saudi Arabia and India. Pakistan has many times expressed disappointment that after the removal of Article 370, many countries including Saudi Arabia did not support its propaganda.

Saudi Arabia, India relations better than UAE

There has been a big change in India's foreign policy in the last few years. Talking about the Islamic countries, India's relations with Saudi Arabia and UAE have been very good. Even after the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, these countries said that this is an internal matter of India.
