
South Korean tech company Samsung has banned the use of AI tools like ChatGPT by its employees. According to Bloomberg, the company has informed its employees about the new policy through a memo.
Actually, recently many sensitive data of Samsung were leaked through ChatGPT due to the mistake of engineers. After this, the company has taken this step to prevent such incidents from happening in future.
According to media reports, Samsung conducted an internal survey last month among the company's employees about the use of AI tools. 65% of the participants in the survey have said that this type of service creates a risk for safety.
Samsung has told through the memo that 'Headquarters is reviewing safety measures to create an environment for the safe use of generative AI to increase employee productivity and efficiency.'
Samsung has told the employee through a memo that 'we want the security guidelines to be followed'. If the employees do not do this and the company's data is leaked or compromised, then displanatory action will be taken, in which termination can also be done.
According to the report, Samsung has banned the use of AI tools on company-owned computers, tablets and smartphones as well as on its internal network. This ban will not affect users using Samsung devices.
