The institution's reports, released on October 3, included names of hundreds of bigwigs including PNB scam accused Nirav Modi's sister Purvi Modi. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, pop singer Shakira and politician Tony Blair.

Millions of dollars worth of properties

Reports by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) are being nicknamed the 'Pandora Papers'. The same organization leaked 'Panama Papers'

The investment is legal

However, according to the news agency, Tendulkar's lawyer has said that the former cricketer's investment is legally valid and tax authorities are aware of it. Shakira's lawyer has said that the pop singer is not taking tax advantage of her companies and she has given necessary information related to them to the government.

Names of five Indian politicians names not public

The names of five Indian politicians have appeared in the Pandora Papers, but their names have not been made public. However, the veterans whose names have been revealed include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Besides Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and the aide of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the international news agency AP, they have allegedly created companies and trusts abroad to hide assets and save tax.
