Petrol became costlier by 8 paise per liter in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai on Monday. According to the website of Indian Oil, the prices of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have increased to Rs 74.42, Rs 77.10, Rs 80.08 and Rs 77.36 per liter respectively.
Diesel prices in the four metros have also increased to Rs 67.33, Rs 69.75, Rs 70.64 and Rs 71.19 per liter respectively. In this month, the price of petrol has increased by more than two rupees per liter and the price of diesel has also increased by about two rupees per liter.
Petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai was Rs 72.01, Rs 74.71, Rs 77.67 and Rs 74.80 per liter respectively on August 31. Diesel in the four metros was Rs 65.25, Rs 67.63, Rs 68.41 and Rs 68.94 per liter respectively.
