Petrol and Diesel Became Expensive for the 10th Time in this Month

Talking about Delhi, on Tuesday, petrol has become costlier by 27 paise to 92.85 and diesel by 29 paise to Rs 83.51 per liter.
Petrol 2.45 and diesel 2.78 rupees more expensive this month
So far this month, the price has increased 10 times. Petrol has become costlier by 2.45 and diesel by 2.78 rupees. The prices have increased 10 times since May 4. Petrol was sold 90.40 and diesel 83.51 rupees per liter before this month.
In this year so far, 36 times price have increased and 4 times it has come down
This year, the prices of petrol and diesel increased 10 times in January and 16 times in February, while in May, prices have increased for the second time today. Petrol-diesel prices have come down 3 times in March and 1 time in April. Petrol-diesel has become expensive 10 times in May so far.
Wholesale inflation rising due to expensive petrol and diesel
The wholesale price index (WPI) was 10.49% in the previous month i.e in April. Whereas in March it was 7.39%. According to the latest data from Ministry of Commerce, WPI has increased by 3.1% in a month. The statement of the ministry said that due to expensive crude petroleum and mineral oils, petrol and diesel, the wholesale prices of commodities are increasing.
Petrol and diesel rates are decided daily
Oil marketing companies fix petrol and diesel rates daily after reviewing prices. Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum change rates at 6 am.
