‘One Nation One Ration Card’ is all set to be Implemented from June 1

One Nation One Ration Card Scheme will be implemented from June 1st in the country. Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan gave this information on Monday. He said that under this scheme, consumers will be able to use the same ration card anywhere in the country. He said that we will implement this scheme nationwide from June 1.

Earlier last year, the Union Minister implemented the pilot project of 'One Nation, One Ration Card' scheme in four states. Under this, card portability was provided between Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Gujarat, Maharashtra, which was inaugurated online by Paswan. He had then said that if the pilot project was successful, it would be implemented across the country. Ration cards will be valid all over the country under this scheme.

Corruption will be curbed

Now the Union Minister has announced that from June 1 of this year, he will implement the scheme nationwide. With this, the ration card holder of any state will be able to buy rice and wheat at cheaper prices from ration shops in any other state. The government hopes that this will not only curb corruption, but the poor moving from one place to another due to employment or other reasons will not be denied subsidized rations. This change will also eliminate the possibility of having more than one card.
