The stock market did not trade on Monday on the first day of the week. Actually, markets are closed due to voting for Assembly elections in Maharashtra. In this way, the stock market remained closed for three consecutive days – Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Now the stock market will open for trading on Tuesday i.e., tomorrow.

Financial results of domestic companies will play an important role in maintaining the vigor of the domestic stock market this week before Diwali. In fact, the financial results of Bharti Infratel, Hindustan Zinc, Axis Bank, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Ultratech Cement are going to be released this week. At the same time, the results of the assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra will also benefit the market. Apart from this, signals from the international market can also have an impact in the Indian stock market.

Due to better quarterly financial results of domestic companies and strong cues from the overseas market, all the five trading sessions of the week witnessed a rise in key sensory indices. At the same time, due to the recent progress towards resolving trade issues between the US and China and the Brexit deal, there was a rapid trend in the markets and shopping was seen. Due to this, the Sensex closed at 39,298.38, a gain of 1,171.30 points or 3.07 percent over a week earlier. During this period, the Nifty also gained 360.60 points, or 3.19 percent, to 11,661.85.

Week Long Account

– The Sensex closed up 87 points, or 0.23 per cent, at 38,214.47 on Monday. The Nifty also gained 36.10 points, or 0.32 per cent, to 11,341.15.

On Tuesday, the Sensex rose by 291.62 points, or 0.76 percent, to 38,506.09, while the Nifty gained 87.15 points or 0.77 percent to close at 11,428.30.

– On Wednesday, the Sensex gained 92.90 points, or 0.24 percent, to 38,598.99, while the Nifty gained 43.25 points or 0.38 percent to 11,471.55.

– The Sensex closed at 39,052.06 on Thursday, while the Nifty closed 122.35 points, or 1.07 per cent, at 11,586.35.

– On Friday, the Sensex rose by 246.32 points, or 0.63 per cent, to 39,298.38, while the Nifty gained 75.50 points or 0.65 per cent to end at 11,661.85.
