Mother Dairy attributed the price hike to increase in the company's procurement cost of raw milk from dairy farmers. There has been an increase of about 24% in the procurement prices of raw milk as compared to the previous year. The increase in milk prices will affect the household budget.

Forced to raise prices

Mother Dairy said, “The stress of rising raw milk prices is being felt across the industry, which is putting pressure on consumer prices. In our commitment to continue paying farmers fair prices, we are constrained to revise the prices of select variants of milk. The new prices will be effective from 27 December 2022 in Delhi NCR.

Last time the prices were increased on November 21

The company has increased the prices several times this year. The last hike was on November 21, when it raised the prices of full cream milk by Rs 1 per liter and token milk by Rs 2 per liter in the Delhi-NCR market.
