
Mercedes-Benz India on Wednesday launched the AMG EQS 53 Performance Electric Vehicle (EV). Its ex-showroom price is Rs 2.45 crore. With this price, it has become the most expensive and widest range EV in India. It will get a range of 529 - 586 km on a single charge.
The car has a top speed of 250 kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds.
It was introduced in the global market last year. This is now Mercedes' second all-electric offering in India after the EQC, while the EQS 580 will be launched in the Indian market later this year via the CKD (completely knocked down) route. The EQS is the flagship S-Class sedan-based car.
The front bonnet overlaps the wings, vertical struts on the AMG-specific black panel grille, and front splitter in high gloss black with gloss trim. Also, get a digital LED headlight and 21-inch alloy wheels with low rolling resistance.
Its doors come with a flush feature. Which comes out when the handle is touched. Features like a flush tailgate with LED lamps in 3D helix design, and a star badge on the tailgate add to its beauty.
The biggest highlight of the cabin of the Mercedes AMG EQS 53 is the 56-inch MBQX with Gorilla Glass. It offers 3D maps, in-car gaming functionality, feeds from cameras, and many more. All of them work through Artificial Intelligence.
Since it is an AMG, the model gets an AMG-specific steering wheel with a flat bottom, Nappa leather seats, MBUX rear seat tablet, Energizing Air Control Plus with HEPA filter, Burmester 3D surround system with 15 speakers and 710 watts, Active Ambiente There are many more features available with lighting.
The Mercedes AMG EQS 53 is currently more expensive than any other EV in the Indian market. It competes with luxury electric cars like the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and Audi RS e-Tron.
