Google is laying off hundreds of employees from its digital assistant, hardware and engineering teams. The company has said that cost cutting is continuing on its part. This has come to light from a Bloomberg report.

The employees affected by this layoff include people from the voice-based Google Assistant and Augmented Reality hardware teams. Apart from this, employees of Google's Central Engineering Organization have also been affected by the layoffs.

Some teams of the company are continuing organizational changes: Spokesperson

According to Bloomberg, a Google spokesperson said in the statement, 'During the second half of 2023, many of our teams made changes to become more efficient, work better, and align our resources with our biggest product priorities. . Some teams are continuing these types of organizational changes, which may include eliminating some positions at the global level.

Employees who are being retrenched have started receiving information
