Car manufacturer Kia India has announced today i.e. March 21 to increase the prices of all its vehicles by 3%. The increased prices will be effective from April 1, 2024. The company has taken this decision due to increase in commodity costs and supply chain related inputs.

Kia has changed the prices for the first time this year. After the implementation of the increased prices, the price of the company's most famous car Seltos may increase by about ₹ 32,697. At the same time, the price of Sonet may increase by ₹ 23,970 and the price of Carens by ₹ 31,347.

Marketing head said - forced to increase prices

After the announcement of the price hike, Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head, Sales and Marketing, Kia India, said, 'We constantly strive to provide premium and technologically advanced products to our customers.

However, due to rising commodity prices, exchange rates and input costs, we are forced to increase the prices of cars. The company spends a large part of the increased prices in production. So that customers can keep driving without putting any burden on their pockets.

Kia has sold 11.60 lakh cars

According to the company, till now the company has sold 11.60 lakh cars. Seltos is among the best selling cars of the company. A total of 6 lakh 13 thousand units have been sold here. At second position, 3 lakh 95 thousand cars of Sonet and 1 lakh 59 thousand cars of Carens have been sold in Indian and foreign markets.

The company sold 20,353 cars in February

According to the FADA report, the company has sold 20,353 cars in the last month i.e. February 2024. This is 6.17% of the total cars sold in India. The company had sold 20,141 cars last year i.e. in February 2023, when the company had a share of 6.86% in total car sales.
