Google launched Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones at its annual event on Wednesday, October 4. Their starting price is Rs 75,999 and Rs 1,06,999. With the launch, both the phones have become available on e-commerce website Flipkart.
Before the launch of these phones, Google had made fun of the iPhone 15 series, which was launched by Apple on September 12 last month. If you are also confused after the launch of Pixel, which phone will be right to buy? So we are telling the comparison here.
This time Google has given temperature sensor in its Pro model. It is fitted just below the flash on the camera bar. To take a temperature reading, you'll need to launch the Temperature app and select the type of object you're trying to measure. You can choose from food and organic, cast iron, plastic and rubber, fabric and more.
Currently, Google is waiting for FDA approval to take body temperature readings. Although you can still take readings by pointing the infrared sensor at your forehead, but it will become official after approval. Google will be able to advertise that its body temperature reading is 100% accurate and can be used.
The features of Pixel 8 and Samsung are almost similar, but a lot is different from iPhone-15. Pixel 8 has a 120Hz display which is twice the size of the iPhone 15. Whereas Pixel has a 50MP camera, iPhone has a 48MP camera.
There is also a difference in the prices of both. Pixel is Rs 4000 cheaper than iPhone. So in this situation, Pixel seems to be ahead of iPhone-15 here, but it is quite difficult to beat it. The biggest difference between the two is the operating system and design.
Works on Apple iOS. Google's phone has Android OS. If you want an Android handset then Pixel can prove to be a better deal in terms of camera and performance. At the same time, if you have been using iOS for a long time then iPhone-15 will be perfect.
One more thing to keep in mind here is that there are very few service centers in the country for repairing Google phones. Whereas Apple is known for its excellent customer service. Google's phone accessories sometimes become difficult to get whereas Apple's accessories are very easily available.
