Project will not drag on beyond 2027

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed ​​Rail Corridor project for India's first high-speed bullet train will be ready by 2026. He said that even if there is a delay, the project will not drag on beyond 2027. He said that the National High-Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited, which is building the corridor for laying the track, has also signed an MoU with the Japan Railway Track Consultant Company Limited.

Significantly, the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed ​​Rail Project is 508 km long. In which 352 km is located in Gujarat and 156 km in Maharashtra. After the completion of this project, a high-speed bullet train will run on it. With the help of a high-speed train, it will take very little time to travel between Mumbai-Ahmedabad and Ahmedabad-Mumbai.

The bullet train will cover a distance of 508 km at a speed of 320 kmph. It will have 12 stops of 165 seconds. It will take two hours 58 minutes to reach Mumbai from Ahmedabad. The stoppage of the train will at Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati. About 119 pillars have been constructed so far. It is expected that another 50 km will be constructed in six months. Indian Railways will run 35 bullet trains on this track which will make about 70 rounds every day.
