
Hero MotoCorp on Thursday launched the new 125CC bike Hero Glamour. The company has introduced the new Glamor with design updates, new features and updated engines. In the Indian market, the bike will compete with Honda SP125, Honda Shine, TVS Rider and Bajaj Pulsar 125 in its segment.
The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer claims that the scooter can run 63 kilometers on one liter of E-20 petrol. The new Glamor is offered in two variants, Drum and Disc. The drum variant costs Rs 82,348 and the disc variant costs Rs 86,348 (both ex-showroom).
For performance in the new Hero Glamor, a 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine has been given which generates power of 10.6 hp at 7500 RPM and torque of 10.6 Nm at 6000 RPM. This engine is E20 petrol compatible as per OBD2 norms.
The engine is tuned with a 5 speed manual gearbox. The company claims that the bike gives a mileage of 63Kmpl. The bike also gets i3S (Idle Stop-Start System).
The new Glamor looks similar to the outgoing model. Color graphics and some cosmetic changes are visible in this. The bike gets a muscular fuel tank with shrouds and a single-pod reflector headlight setup.
The bike gets single piece seat and new design alloy wheels with single piece grille rail. Three new color options are available with the bike – Candy Blazing Red, Techno Blue-Black and Sports Red-Black.
For comfort riding, the bike gets telescopic front forks and twin rear springs suspension at the rear. For braking, drum and disc brake options are available at the front of the bike. At the same time, only drum brake unit has been given in the rear.
Hero says that it has reduced the height of the rider's seating position by 8mm and the rear seat position by 17mm to make the bike more comfortable. It gets a ground clearance of 170 mm.
Talking about the features of the new Hero Glamour, it gets a digital instrument cluster, which gives information like real time mileage indicator, odometer, trip meter and fuel indicator. The bike also gets a USB port for mobile charging.
