
Harley-Davidson has unveiled its first made-in-India bike 'Harley-Davidson X440', which has been developed in partnership with Hero MotoCorp. American bike maker Harley-Davidson announced the partnership in the year 2021, after which this is the first co-development bike of the two companies.
The company has told that it will be launched in the country on July 4, 2023, which will be exported to many countries around the world. If the media report is to be believed then the company can present this bike in the Delhi ex-showroom of Rs 2.7 lakh.
The new Harley-Davidson X440 gets a squarish fuel tank, round headlight, round speedometer above the headlight, broad handlebar with indicators and mirrors. The headlight gets a ring-shaped LED projector with Harley-Davidson written on it. Along with this, the negative LCD unit has been given in the circular instrument cluster.
Talking about the features of Harley-Davidson X440, it has a disc brake at the front and rear with dual-channel ABS. It comes with preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers. With this the front wheel is 18 inches and the rear wheel is 17 inches. It is expected to get a TFT unit for navigation, call and message management along with Bluetooth connectivity.
The company has given a 440CC oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine in the Harley-Davidson X440, which can be tuned with a 6-speed gearbox. According to media reports, this engine can generate 30 bhp power and 40 Nm peak torque.
