Fuel Prices Hiked for Second Consecutive Day, Petrol Crosses Rs100 in 21 States

The common man is not getting relief from inflation. Today, petrol in the capital Delhi has become costlier by 35 paise and has reached Rs 100.56 per liter.

The common man is not getting relief from inflation. Today, petrol in the capital Delhi has become costlier by 35 paise and has reached Rs 100.56 per liter. At the same time, diesel is getting costlier by 9 paise today and is being sold at Rs 89.62 per liter. Petrol has become costlier for the fifth time and diesel for the third time this month. Petrol has become costlier by Rs 1.75 and diesel by 44 paise in just 8 days this month. Petrol prices have crossed Rs 100 a liter in most major cities of the country.

Petrol in 21 states and diesel in 4 states crossed 100

Petrol has reached Rs 100 per liter in 21 states of the country. Petrol has reached Rs 100 in all districts of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Manipur, Telangana, Punjab, Sikkim, Orissa, Kerala, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

At the same time, petrol has crossed Rs 100 a liter in many places in Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh, West Bengal, Pondicherry, Tripura, Nagaland and Ladakh. On the other hand, when it comes to diesel, it has gone above Rs 100 in Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

So far this year, petrol has become costlier by Rs 16.59 and diesel by Rs 15.50

On January 1 this year, petrol was at 83.97 and diesel at 74.12, which is now at Rs 100.56 and Rs 89.62 per liter. That is, petrol has become costlier by Rs 16.59 and diesel by Rs 15.50 in 6 months.

The price of fuel is also increasing due to the fall in the price of crude oil

Crude oil has come down to $ 74 in the US market on Wednesday. It has come down to $ 73.37 per barrel. Despite this, the prices of fuel are increasing instead of decreasing. On Monday, crude oil prices hit a six-year high since November 2014 at $76.98 a barrel.

Country got new petroleum minister

Amidst the rising prices of fuel in the country, now the Petroleum Minister has also changed. Hardeep Singh Puri, who was the Minister of Civil Aviation, has been given the Ministry of Petroleum and Dharmendra Pradhan, who is heading this important ministry till now, has been given the Ministry of Education.
