The Nano SIM used in the smartphone can be lost if the phone or operator is changed. There is also the possibility of it breaking or cracking. It is easy to hack. E-SIM avoids these problems.
There are many types of e-SIM. These include hardware-based E-sim, I sim, nu sim, and soft sim. Hardware-based e-SIM sales will be the highest in the next five years. The use of e-SIM has also increased in connected devices. In 2021, more than 350 million e-SIM-equipped devices were sold in the global market.
