The Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi has extended the validity of the Driving License (DL) and fitness certificate till November 30, 2021, giving a big relief to the vehicle owners here. It is being told that during this period, if the validity of someone's driving license or fitness certificate has expired, then no action will be taken by the Transport Department. An order has been issued by the Transport Department in this regard.
According to an order issued by the Transport Department, the last date for renewal of driving license and fitness certificate was fixed as 30 September 2021, but their validity will remain till 30 November 2021. However, during the Corona period, there is a huge crowd in government offices to renew important documents. In view of the crowd gathering in the offices, the government has decided to extend their validity period till November 30.

Let us tell you that the government has extended the validity of documents related to vehicles many times. It started from 30th March 2020, after that, it was extended to 9th June 2020, 24th August 2020, 27th December 2020, 26th March 2021, 17th June 2021, and then 30th September 2021. Now for the 8th time, it has been increased to 30 November 2021.
However, in the notification issued by the government, it has been made clear that it is necessary for the vehicles plying on the road to have insurance and pollution certificate. This was done because insurance can be renewed online sitting at home and pollution certificates can be made from anywhere. Many outlets have been opened for this.
