The ministry had said that a document regarding inflation of government employees is going viral on social media, in which it is being claimed that dearness relief will be given to government employees and central government pensioners from July 2021. The Government of India has not issued any such document yet.

Congress demanded restoration of allowance

The Congress party accused the central government of adopting a hostile attitude towards central government employees, army employees and pensioners with respect to the payment of Dearness Allowance (DA). Also demanded immediate payment of the outstanding amount.
