Companies like Apple and Disney have stopped advertising on social media platform X. X boss Elon Musk recently said he agreed with social media posts accusing “Jewish communities” of promoting “hate against white people.” CNBC has published a report regarding this.
A coalition of 163 Jewish leaders, activists and academics representing both major political parties also issued a statement this week in response to Musk's recent behavior. It called on companies like Disney, Apple, and Amazon to stop funding X through their advertising spending.
Warner Bros., Paramount Global also stopped ad campaign
According to the report, Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount Global and Lions Gate Entertainment Company are also suspending their campaigns on X. Company spokespersons have confirmed this. Apart from this, a spokesperson for Comcast said that it is stopping its online advertising campaign on the real-time messaging service.
An IBM spokesperson said the company has immediately stopped its online advertising campaigns on X. IBM has zero tolerance for hate speech and discrimination.
