Tech company Apple is going to start its first official store 'Apple BKC' in India on Tuesday. CEO Tim Cook has reached India for the launch of the store.
He tweeted as soon as he reached Mumbai on Monday- 'Hello, Mumbai! We can't wait to welcome our customers to the new Apple BKC store tomorrow.' In the tweeted photo, employees of the Mumbai store are seen with Tim Cook.
According to reports, Tim Cook today met Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran. Tim Cook also met Mukesh Ambani's son Akash and daughter Isha at Antilia, their residence.
Cook also met Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit Nene. Madhuri has shared a photo of this meeting on Twitter. In this, Tim Cook and Madhuri Dixit are seen eating vada pav in the restaurant. Tim Cook retweeted the photo and wrote, 'Thank you Madhuri Dixit for introducing me to my first vada pav - it was delicious.'
According to reports, Tim Cook may also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday after the launch of the Apple Store. Apart from these, he will also hold talks with ministers on strategic issues like exports and manufacturing.
Apart from government officials, he will also meet business leaders of India. Tim Cook is accompanied by Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's Senior Vice President of Retail and People, on this visit. Ahead of the opening, Apple invited the media to see the first glimpse of the store on Monday. Along with this, the company has also released many photos of the store.
