A special experiment was conducted towards bringing a new revolution through Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI based chatbot. Researchers from Brown University in Rhode Island, America, and many different universities in China have created special chatbots using AI.
They work on state-of-the-art language models. It has the capabilities to run a software company with minimal human interference. In such a company, the entire process of software development can be completed in just 7 minutes and that too at a cost of less than one dollar (about Rs 83).
Researchers conducted an experiment to showcase their skills, which was named 'ChatDev'. To create a hypothetical software-development company, the researchers set out to do four steps—designing, coding, testing, and documenting.
Each AI bot was assigned roles such as CEO, CTO (Chief Technology Officer), programmer and art designer, along with communication protocols and deadlines to complete. Everyone completed all the research work correctly.
The experiment was so precise that AI workers seamlessly interacted with each other, made important decisions, and solved complex challenges at each stage. From selecting the programming language to identifying and fixing bugs, everything was done right. During the experiment, ChatDev completed 70 tasks, consistently delivering exceptional results.
The AI powered company showcased its ability to develop software in less than seven minutes at a cost of less than a dollar, showcasing its working capacity and cost efficiency. No flaws were found in 86.66% of the software systems generated through them.
Berlin-based coder Daniel Dippold successfully used ChatGPT to develop a program. This helped him find an apartment. Even Amazon employees have used ChatGPT to complete software development tasks. However, this is only one side of the coin.
Researchers have also identified potential flaws in the language model that could impact accurate software development.
