Users signing up on the web will get blue ticks only on Facebook, while mobile app users will get blue ticks for both Facebook and Instagram. This blue tick is a verification badge that indicates that the account is authentic and related to a public figure, celebrity or brand.
The company has currently started this service in America, soon this service will be started in other countries as well. The service costs $11.99 per month (Rs 989) if users sign up on the web or $14.99 per month (Rs 1237) if they sign up through the mobile app.
The revenue has declined due to the macroeconomic downturn, competition and less advertising.
