This year, during the festive season, there has been a huge jump in the sales of vehicles in the Indian market. During the 42-day festive season, which lasted from the first day of Navratri to 15 days after Dhanteras, a total of 37.93 lakh vehicles were sold in the country.
It has seen an increase of 18.73% compared to 2022. Last year, 31.95 lakh vehicles were sold during the festive season from September 26 to November 6. Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) released the sales figures today i.e. on 28th November.
According to the report, 28.93 lakh two-wheelers, 1.43 lakh three-wheelers, 1.24 lakh commercial vehicles and more than 5 lakh passenger vehicles were sold during this period. Whereas a decline of 0.5% has been observed in tractor sales.
An increase in 2 wheeler sales has been seen in rural areas. After starting with a decline during Navratri, it saw a growth of 10% by the end of Diwali. At the beginning of Navratri, there was a decline of 8.3% in tractor sales but by the end of Diwali it recovered and a negative growth of 0.5% was recorded.
