Britain's Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced to establish a new commission to deal with racial and inequality cases in the country after the ongoing protests against racism in Britain following the murder of 46-year-old African-origin George Floyd in the US. Johnson's announcement comes in the wake of the ongoing 'Black Lives Matter' movement around the world.

The British PM said, "No one who cares about this country can ignore the thousands of people who have joined the Black Lives Matter movement to protest peacefully." He said it is true that we have made a lot of progress in dealing with casteism, but there is a lot that we need to do and we will do.

"It is time for a government commission to focus on all aspects of inequality in employment, health, academia and all other areas of life," Johnson said. Against the protesters' targeting of memorials and statues, he insisted that the focus should be on tackling the problem and not the symbols. Let me tell you that the statues of Winston Churchill were broken in the country. Johnson said it is wrong to destroy public assets.
