With the end of the festive season, sales of auto companies have started declining again. In the month of November, all major companies like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Hero Moto Corp have seen a decline in sales. In this case, the only exception was Hyundai, which has grown by close to 7 per cent in sales.

Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest carmaker, declined 1.9 per cent in November sales. Maruti sold 1,50,630 vehicles in November, while in November last year, Maruti sold 1,53,539 vehicles. During this period, the company's domestic sales have fallen by 1.6 percent.

Earlier, the festive season had brought some relief for the auto sector, which has been suffering from the recession for several months. From Navratri to Dhanteras, there has been a good increase in the sale of vehicles. It was expected that the boom in the auto sector will continue even further, but it could not be done. Passenger vehicles, or passenger vehicle sales, rose 0.28 per cent to 2,85,027 vehicles in October.

Mahindra & Mahindra reported a 9 per cent fall in November sales. In November, the company has sold 41,235 vehicles. In November last year, the company sold 45,101 vehicles. In the domestic market, the company's sales have fallen by 7 percent, while exports have fallen by 26 percent.

However, the second leading car company Hyundai Motor India reported a 7.2 per cent increase in November sales. In November, the company has sold a total of 60,500 vehicles. In November last year, the company sold 56,411 vehicles. During this period, the company's exports grew by 25.2 percent.

Big Drop of 25% in Tata Motors

During the month of November, Tata Motors sales fell by a massive 25 percent. During this time Tata Motors sold 41,124 vehicles. In the same month last year, the company sold 55,074 vehicles. During this period, the sale of Hero MotoCorp has come down by 15.3 percent. The company sold a total of 5,16,775 vehicles in November.

Hinduja Group company Ashok Leyland, which manufactures commercial vehicles, has also seen a 22 per cent drop in sales. In November, the company has sold a total of 10,175 vehicles.
