The Mahindra Bolero is one of the best-selling SUVs of Mahindra & Mahindra. In June, Bolero became the company's best-selling car, outpacing all Mahindra SUVs. After this, the Scorpio, XUV300, XUV500 and KUV100 ranked second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Mahindra Bolero had total sales of 3,292 units in June. At the same time, Scorpio had sales of 2,574 units, XUV300 1,812 units, XUV500 231 units and KUV100 49 units. Mahindra's total passenger vehicle sales stood at 7,959 units in June. With this, Mahindra & Mahindra stood at number four in the country in terms of sales last month. However, compared to June 2019, the company's sales have fallen by 55% this year.
Talk about Mahindra Bolero, then its updated model was launched in late March. A Bolero facelift has been launched into the market with a fresh look, BS6 engine and better safety features. It comes in three variants – B4, B6, BS6 (O). Their price is 7.98 lakhs, 8.64 lakhs and 8.99 lakhs respectively. The price is ex-showroom Delhi.
Most changes to the updated Bolero have taken place at its front. It has a new grille, revised headlamp and new bumpers. Bolero gets a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
On the other hand, Mahindra is going to bring the new-generation Thar in the next few months. There will be major changes in the look and interior of the new Thar. The biggest change will be in its engine. The new-generation Thar will come with a new petrol engine and automatic gearbox. Automatic transmission will be available in both the petrol and diesel engine options of the SUV.
