Haryana Police say that Sonali Phogat’s house had CCTV cameras, but the thieves took a digital video recorder (DVR) which contained the footage. HTM SHO Sukhjit said that a case of theft has been registered. Sonali Phogat has said in her complaint that she had gone to Chandigarh on February 9 by locking her house. When she came to Hisar on 15 February, the lock of the house was seen broken.

Sukhjit further said that Sonali stated in her complaint that gold and silver goods, a silver pot, jewelry, A.22 bore license pistol and eight cartridges are missing from her house.
