Bharatiya Janata Party has started preparations for Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. In view of this, the meeting of the core group of BJP has been convened on July 30. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is currently holding a meeting on Jammu and Kashmir. BJP's Executive President, JP Nadda, BJP General Secretary BL Santosh, Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravindra Rana and former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy CM Kabinder Gupta are also in the meeting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also in the meeting.

Be aware that the Bharatiya Janata Party has convened a meeting of the BJP Core Group on Tuesday to discuss the current political situation of Jammu and Kashmir. In this meeting, the party's executive president, JP Nadda, in addition to the preparations for the elections, will discuss the membership drive and the current situation. In this meeting, other top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party's national president Amit Shah, are also participating. The possible presence of Modi and Shah is important and indicates that the party has been gearing up for the assembly elections. Election Commission can announce dates of assembly elections in the state after getting information about the law and order system being corrected by the central and state government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also joined the ongoing meeting in the Parliament premises for the meeting of the BJP Parliamentary Party in Delhi.

According to information, Ram Madhav, the Chief Strategist for Jammu and Kashmir, had earlier appealed to the Election Commission to conduct elections this year in the state. State BJP has said that he is ready to contest anytime. In 2014 Jammu assembly elections were held in November-December. Currently there is President's rule in Jammu and Kashmir and it has been extended for six more months from July 3.

The Modi government has ordered to send about 10 thousand additional troops in the Kashmir Valley. This decision of the government has made the movement very sharp in the state. Many leaders, including Mehbooba Mufti, have expressed resentment over the decision of the central government.
