The BJP has hit back at Congress leader Ashok Chavan's statement. Naming Congress as Muslim League Congress, BJP said that Chavan's statement has exposed the Congress and he has insulted Hindus. Taking a dig at AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the BJP said that it is on the path of becoming Jinnah.
BJP leader Sambit Patra quoted Chavan's statement that the Congress had insulted Hindus. He said that Hindus are abused under the guise of demonstrations. He said that a Congress leader says that he is involved in a government for Muslims only. After all, what crime have Hindus, Sikhs, Parsis committed. He alleged that the Congress runs the power by asking Muslims.
Congress leader Ashok Chavan said, 'We have a government in Maharashtra. We have joined this government to prevent the BJP from coming to power in Maharashtra. Many Muslim brothers had said that our biggest enemy is the BJP, if the BJP has to stop, the Congress should join this government. That is why Congress is included in the government today. As long as the Congress is in the government, we will not allow the CAA to be implemented in Maharashtra.
