Bihar: Sisters Starving From Hunger Call PMO, Administration Became Alert After This

There is a lockdown across the country to stop the coronavirus, leaving people stranded. Generally, people are not allowing anyone inside the houses. In such a situation, three girls of Khanjarpur village in Bhagalpur district were forced to stay in their house hungry. When they did not get help anywhere, they called on a helpline, and only after that they had some food. The entire case is related to Badi Khanjarpur village in Jagdishpur block of Bhagalpur district, where three orphan girls work in nearby homes to feed. Their work was stopped due to the lockdown and the three started starving in the house.

When the neighbors also refused to give them food, they called a phone number printed in a newspaper. This phone started going to the PMO. Hearing the story of the three sisters, the PMO officer called the disaster management department of Patna and informed about the whole case. After this, the Disaster Management Department directed the Zonal Officer (CO) of Jagdishpur to take action in this matter. After this, the CO reached the girls' house and provided them food.

The Zonal Officer told IANS on Friday that clothes have also been provided to those three girls and the administration is monitoring them. The CO says that if the people around also gave information about the matter to the police, then the girls would not have to face so much trouble.
