Bihar Police ADG Said – Crime Will Increase after the Return of Migrants Laborers

The Modi government has put a nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of this deadly virus, but due to the lockdown, the work of migrant laborers has come to a standstill and they are migrating to their homes

Amit Kumar, ADG (Law and Order) of Bihar Police, has written a letter to the police captains of all the districts of the states, in which he has expressed fears that the return of migrant laborers may increase crime in Bihar. In his letter written on May 29, ADG (Law and Order) Amit Kumar also said that lakhs of migrant laborers returning to Bihar do not get employment easily, therefore, they can do unethical and illegal work to maintain their family situations.

Amit Kumar instructed the superintendents of police of all the districts that no such situation should arise due to the return of migrant laborers, an action plan should be prepared for this. After the letter of ADG (Law and Order) of Bihar Police, Amit Kumar, there was a ruckus. Tejashwi Yadav, RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, held a press conference on the same issue and fiercely attacked the Chief Minister of the state, Nitish Kumar. During this time, Tejashwi Yadav also tore the letter which ADG (Law and Order) Amit Kumar had written about the migrant laborers.After this entire controversy, ADG (Law and Order) Amit Kumar has withdrawn this letter on 4 June.

The Modi government has put a nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of this deadly virus, due to the lockdown, the work of migrant laborers has come to a standstill and they are migrating to their homes, whereas a large number of migrant laborers are reaching Bihar from other cities including Delhi, Mumbai.
