Amit Kumar, ADG (Law and Order) of Bihar Police, has written a letter to the police captains of all the districts of the states, in which he has expressed fears that the return of migrant laborers may increase crime in Bihar. In his letter written on May 29, ADG (Law and Order) Amit Kumar also said that lakhs of migrant laborers returning to Bihar do not get employment easily, therefore, they can do unethical and illegal work to maintain their family situations.
Amit Kumar instructed the superintendents of police of all the districts that no such situation should arise due to the return of migrant laborers, an action plan should be prepared for this. During this time, Tejashwi Yadav also tore the letter which ADG (Law and Order) Amit Kumar had written about the migrant laborers. After this entire controversy, ADG (Law and Order) Amit Kumar has withdrawn this letter on 4 June.
