With 6 new cases of corona infection reported in Bihar's Munger district on Friday, the cases of Covid-19 infection in the state has increased to 176. Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary, Health Department, said on Friday that 2 men (52 and 70 years), a 10-year-old boy and 3 women were among the cases of corona virus infection which came to light on Friday in Sadar Bazar of Jamalpur in Munger district. (18, 48 and 60 years). They said that these people came in contact with a person already infected. Other contacts of these people are being tracked.

It is worth mentioning that in Patna AIIMS, a patient resident of Munger district infected with Corona virus died on March 21 and a patient resident of Vaishali district died last Friday. So far, cases ofCovid-19 have come to light in 18 of the total 38 districts in Bihar. The maximum number of infections in the state so far is 37 in Munger, followed by 31 in Nalanda, 30 in Siwan, 24 in Patna, 9 in Begusarai, 8-8 in Buxar and Kaimur, 7 in Rohtas and 5-5 in Bhagalpur. 3-3 in Gopalganj and Nawada and one case each in Saran, Lakhisarai, Vaishali, Bhojpur, Banka and East Champaran have come to light.

So far 23 people have confirmed corona virus infection after coming in contact with a patient resident of Siwan who returned from Oman. At the same time, corona virus infection was confirmed in 11 people who came in contact with a patient from Munger who returned from Qatar, who died in Patna AIIMS on 21 March. So far, 14,924 suspected samples of corona virus have been tested in Bihar and 44 patients have been cured.
