Tensions continue with China over LAC in Ladakh. The armies of the two countries stand opposite each other on the LAC. India has also made an edge over the LAC in several important places in the last few days, but still the effort from India is to resolve the dispute peacefully. However, China is not ready to accept the contrary. China is trying to create some controversy someday. Amid tensions over LAC, senior space scientist G Madhav Nair has made a big statement.
“India should increase its assets in space”- G Madhav Nair
G Madhav Nair told the news agency ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that in order to keep pace with the changing times, India should increase its assets in space as well as increase coverage of the area. Nair said in the interview that space – Earth surveillance, communications and electronic intelligence – plays a very important role in almost all areas of security related activities.
“As far as I understand, the Chinese side has increased the number of radar imaging satellites, Earth observation satellites and communication satellites by several times so that they can have continuous coverage of the world,” he said, adding that he was therefore called his (of the satellites). The group will get all kinds of information. The former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said, “Except for the global coverage, India should have at least a continuous coverage plan across the border.”
He said that India has demonstrated its capabilities by launching satellites for various regions. Nair said, “Now there should be plans for a launch that can provide continuous coverage. The country is in dire need of it, ”he said. There is definitely a need to increase the number of satellites, earth stations. He said that security of space assets is going to be very challenging in the coming time.
“China’s budget is almost five times more than India’s annual space budget”- Nair
Nair said that India is on par with China in terms of space technology but it is behind China in the field of manned space flight. Referring to ‘Gaganyaan’, he said that the work of completing such human missions is already going on in the country. He said, “But China is putting a lot of resources into it. Their budget is almost five times more than India’s annual space budget. ”
