All the email accounts of the former Afghan government have been locked by Google. Now terrorists of the Taliban will not be able to get the information available in their accounts. The Taliban captured the whole of Afghanistan on August 15. However, after this, many reports came in which it was said that during the Ashraf Ghani government, sensitive information from different sources was collected by the Taliban.

There were two risks from this. First-the data shared from numerous nations of the world might have been in the possession of Taliban fear mongers. Second-The data of some top insight officials or authorities present in Afghanistan might have been gotten by the Taliban and this might have placed their lives at serious risk.

Other countries were also at risk

During the time of Ghani's government, Afghanistan had very good relations with many countries. Not only India, these included America, Britain, and the European Union. After the occupation of Afghanistan, the Taliban was trying to get these digital documents. Western countries were aware of this. According to the sources, to prevent this information from being leaked, Google has locked all the email accounts so that no country is harmed and this secret information does not reach the Taliban.

Ex-employees in danger

According to a report, the Taliban was trying to collect information related to former employees of Afghan government. If the Taliban had access to this data, there were fears that the lives of former employees could be in danger. Hence, these accounts have been locked. Google's parent company Alphabet Inc. has also confirmed in a report that all accounts of the former Afghan government have been locked.
