Big Lapse of Chinese Mobile Company, Sold 13000 Mobile Phones of same IMEI Number in India

A major security lapse of the Chinese mobile manufacturer has come out in which more than 13,500 mobile phones have been claimed to run on the same IMEI number.  A fraud case has been filed against this negligence of the Chinese phone manufacturer.  SP (City) of Meerut Police Akhilesh N Singh said that a case has been registered against a mobile phone manufacturing company and their service center.  He said that the matter is related to serious security.  Singh said that by taking advantage of the negligence of the mobile company, criminals could misuse it.

In fact, Sub Inspector Asharam posted in the office of Director General of Police Meerut had a mobile of a Chinese company.  When the screen broke, he gave the mobile at Vivo's service center on Delhi Road in Meerut on 24 September 2019.  The service center changed the battery, screen and gave them mobile.  A few days later, trouble started again on the display.  After repeated faults in the phone, Asharam handed over the phone to the cyber cell.  Subsequently, the investigation of cybercrime cells found that about 13,500 mobile phones are of the same International Mobile Equipment Identification (IMEI).

If many of you are not aware of the IMEI number, then tell you that every mobile number internationally has a different IMEI number.  This only identifies the phone.  Meaning if you phone has been stolen and another person is running the phone by inserting another sim, then the location of the stolen phone is obtained with the help of the IMEI number of the mobile. It is the mobile's chance number, as in vehicle.
