In the Corona era, business in Bhiwadi's pharma industries has doubled. The total turnover of the pharma companies here has crossed Rs 1000 crore with a total turnover of around Rs 500 crore. After the boom in the pharma business, six big companies have already set up their other plants in Bhiwadi. Bhiwadi's pharma business is famous worldwide.

Following the growing demand for the drug, Briwadi's Gracure Pharmaceuticals, Alcon, Aurobindo Group's Oronest, Medicamen, Kusum Health Care and Alka Laboratory have set up new plants.

72% of the raw material is coming from China, so the price goes up

According to the recently released report of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), China's dependence in the pharmaceutical industry is not decreasing even after considerable tension. Last year too, India had to get more than 72 percent of its raw material sourced from China. Not only this, let us consider the figures of the last three years, India's dependence on China for raw materials is constantly increasing. According to CDSCO, India, which provides up to 80 percent of generic drugs worldwide, relies on China for raw materials. 66.53% in 2018, 72.40% in 2019 and 72.15% of the raw material imported from China in the year 2020.

Two and a half times increase in paracetamol

However, it is also true that after the increasing influence of India in the pharmaceutical industry, now China too has shrugged off. It has also increased the prices of raw materials to a great extent. Till a year ago, Paracetamol tablets were available at Rs 320 per kg API.

But now it has increased by two and a half times. Now this goods is being available to Indian companies for Rs 700 per kg. Apart from this, vitamin E oil has increased from Rs 1400 per kg to Rs 2200 per kg. Printing has also increased by 570 per file.

Number of laborers also increased from 15 thousand to 25 thousand

After their new plant and pharma industry doubled, the number of laborers in this area has also increased from 15 thousand to more than 25 thousand. Ranjan Mehta, DGM, Axel Laboratory Pvt Ltd, said that the growth of six big companies in the market will definitely strengthen the condition of the pharma industry. Now we are moving towards self-sufficiency. At the same time, according to Swastik Industries director Nina Bhargava, the pharma industry is running at double its pace.
