After the arrest of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachia in the drugs case, social media users are trolling them. A 2015 tweet by the comedian is going viral, in which she advised people not to take drugs. Bharti wrote in her tweet in July 2015, “Please stop taking drugs. It is harmful to your health.”

On Saturday, when it was revealed that Bharti Singh had been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on charges of taking drugs, a social media user shared her old tweet and wrote, “5 years ago Bharti Singh used to give knowledge on drugs.”

How came Bharti and Harsh’s name in the drugs case?
On Friday, a drug peddler named Bharti and Harsh in an NCB inquiry. After this, on Saturday morning the comedian’s house and offices was raided of Andheri, Lokhandwala and Versova from where 86.5 grams of ganja was found.
When NCB questioned for custody, Bharti confessed to taking cannabis with husband Harsh. Bharti was arrested on Saturday evening. At the same time, her husband Harsh was questioned for nearly 18 hours and was arrested by the NCB on Sunday morning.
Can be jailed for 6 months
An NCB official said that the quantity of hemp recovered from Bharti Singh’s house is less according to the law. Hemp up to one kilo is considered low in quality. In such cases, there can be a jail term of up to 6 months or a fine of Rs 10,000 or both.
