On September 9, before Kangana Ranaut reached Mumbai from Himachal, BMC took action to remove illegal possession at her Mumbai office. BMC ransacked the office in two hours. Kangana’s office is in Pali Hill area in Bandra, Mumbai. She have built it for 48 crore rupees.
Her production house Manikarnika Films has an office here. This action is a result of Kangana’s statement in which she compared Mumbai to PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) a few days ago.
The Shiv Sena was enraged by Kangana’s statement and it is believed that action was taken to break the office to teach her a lesson. With this action, frustrated Kangana called BMC as Babur’s army and called her office a temple which she will rebuild. This is not the first time that celebs have come under BMC’s target. Even before this, BMC has taken strict action against the celebs.
In 2016, Kapil Sharma complained to Narendra Modi about corruption. He had tweeted and said “I have been paying Rs 15 crore tax since last five years. But I have to bribe BMC by giving them 5 lakhs to build the office. Are these good days?” After Kapil’s comments, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that give us full information.
Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) claimed that the actor was sent a notice for illegal construction, but he did not responded. The place where he was building his office, cannot be used commercially.
The BMC sent him a notice on July 16 in this case and asked him to stop the work. Even after that Kapil continued construction. On August 4, 2016, a bulldozer was fired on illegal construction next to Kapil Sharma’s bungalow in Versova.
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh was accused of trespassing by his neighbors in 2015. Actually, Shah Rukh’s bungalow Mannat had a ramp on which Shah Rukh used to park his vanity van for many years.
Neighbors said- Shah Rukh’s van blocked an important roadway leading to Mount Mary Church in Bandstand. After the complaint of the people, BMC broke this ramp on February 14, 2015 and received a fine of Rs 1.95 lakh from Shah Rukh.
Warsi also came under BMC’s target in 2017. The BMC had demolished parts of Arshad’s bungalow. Arshad’s bungalow was processed after a four-month-old complaint, which was done by his own society members. The BMC had earlier sent notice to Arshad but dropped a part of the bungalow after receiving no response.
