 Indian team has been announced for the Under 19 World Cup to be held in South Africa next year. The young Indian will go on to win the Under-19 World Cup title for the fifth time in South Africa between January 19 and February 7. This team is headed by Priyam Garg, who has made many achievements to India's youth team so far. While the 15-member team is headed by Priyam Garg of Uttar Pradesh, Dhruv Chand Jurel will be the vice-captain of the team. For the selection of this team, National Cricket Academy i.e. NCA Chief Rahul Dravid also reached Mumbai. Rahul Dravid, while being the coach of the Under 19 team, tested the talent of many young players of the team. This is why Rahul Dravid knew which player is best.

India's Under-19 squad for the World Cup 2020 was to be announced on Sunday evening, but it was postponed slightly due to the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. However, on Monday morning, the BCCI announced which players would be leaving for South Africa to play the World Cup in January 2020. The BCCI Junior Selection Committee had finalized all the names on Sunday night.

Priyam Garg, the captain of the Under 19 team, had his birthday on Saturday 30 November. He was appointed as the captain of UP's Ranji team on the same day, while on Sunday his name was confirmed as captain for the World Cup. Its official announcement was made on Monday morning. Many Under 19 captains have played for India before Priyam Garg and players like Virat are still part of the Indian team.
