The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday has decided to postpone the tour of Sri Lanka in view of rising cases of Corona epidemic. The Bangladesh team was to visit Sri Lanka to play the Test series in July, which the board has decided to cancel at present. Former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza has also been found to be corona infected.

On Tuesday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board had informed that it was not ready to host the New Zealand team. The tour of the Kiwi team is currently being postponed due to the outbreak of Corona infection. Nowadays, the board has informed that their team will not go to Sri Lanka. The plan to postpone the three-Test series in July has been decided for the time being.

Some Bangladeshi cricketers also tested positive for COVID-19:

Significantly, cases of corona have increased in Bangladesh at this time and cricketers have also come in its grip. Spinner Najmul Islam, fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza and brother of opener Tamim Iqbal have been found to be Corona positive. Now, as the number of corona infected is increasing in the country, the board does not want to host a foreign team.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a day earlier that former captain Mohammad Hafeez has tested 'positive' for the COVID-19. Hafeez and Wahab Riaz are among the ten players selected in the squad for the England tour, whose tests for the COVID-19 were 'positive' on Tuesday. The team is scheduled to leave for England on Sunday for a series of Tests and T20 matches.

10 Pakistani players infected before England tour:

On Wednesday, Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez made it clear on Twitter that he and his family members tested 'negative' and had also posted a medical report to prove his claim. He tweeted, 'After Tested positive COVID-19 acc to PCB testing Report yesterday, as 2nd opinion & for satisfaction, I personally went to Test it again along with my family and here I along with my all family members are reported Negative Alham du Lillah. May Allah keep us all safe.'
