Barcelona, Ajax Reaches Champions League Semifinal

Two semi-finalists of the Champions League in the biggest football league of Europe were fixed. Barcelona and Ajax have reached the semifinals. In the second leg of the quarter-finals, Barcelona defeated Manchester United 3-0. Messi scored 2, Coutinho scored one goal. Barcelona won 4-0 after both legs.

United's team lost 4 or more goals for the first time in the European Knockout.

There is the old adage that if you are good enough, you are old enough and Ajax are a testament to it. Ajax's displays this season have been brilliant at times and on occasion, simply breathtaking.

Ajax defeated Juventus 2-1 in the second leg after the two legs; the total score was 3-2 in favor of Ajax. Ronaldo will not be seen in the
semifinals along with the loss of Juventus. They will not play in the league semi-final after 9 years. Prior to this, he was out of Real Madrid in the 2009-10 pre-quarterfinal.

Domestic domination is one thing but for a club like Juventus, it simply is not enough.

After two losses in the final in the last four seasons, last summer Juventus decided that Cristiano Ronaldo was the missing piece in the Juventus' Champions League puzzle.

Slotted into a veteran and battle-tested squad Ronaldo was to be the player who would finally take Juventus back to the top in Europe and win the Champions League for the first time since 1996.

Barcelona qualified for the semifinals for the first time since 2014-15 in the semi-finals. Manchester United team eliminated in the quarter-finals for the 7th time this is the biggest defeat in United's European match. Manchester United lost four consecutive bouts for the first time since October 1999.

"Cristiano increased our chances of winning the Champions League but football isn't math," Allegri added. "It's not one plus one equals two, but one plus one can equal three, four, zero."
