Bangladesh Refuses to Play Test Series in Pakistan

Bangladesh Board President Nazmul Hassan has flatly refused to play a Test series in Pakistan but BCB has agreed to play T20 matches. Hassan said that in view of security, the government has advised to play only T20 matches in Pakistan. He has also made it clear for Pakistan that there is no hope of playing the test now. Information about this decision will soon be given to the Pakistan Cricket Board, after which the program can be changed.

This month, Bangladesh was scheduled to play 3 T20 and 2 Test matches in Pakistan. But after Bangladesh's refusal to play the Test, now the host Pakistan will have to change their schedule. The three T20 matches of the series will be played in Lahore from 23 to 27 January. Test matches were to be held at Rawalpindi and Karachi.

After a long wait, cricket is slowly coming back on track in Pakistan. Last year, Sri Lanka visited Pakistan and a series of two Test matches were played between the two teams under tight security. Pakistan won by 263 runs in the second Test match played in Karachi, when the first Test was played in Rawalpindi. With this, Test cricket returned to Pakistan after a decade.
