Ban on Domestic Flights lifted, Services will be Restored at full Capacity

In view of the rapid decline in the cases of corona infection across the country, the Ministry of Civil Aviation on Tuesday approved domestic flights to operate with 100 percent passenger capacity. The Union Civil Aviation Ministry has issued a directive in this regard today. It has been said that from October 18, all domestic flights will be operated with 100 percent capacity. Till now only 85 percent of the passengers of full capacity were able to travel.

Full care of the Covid-19 protocol will have to be taken

In the third week of last month, the Ministry of Civil Aviation issued a circular allowing domestic flights to operate with 85 percent capacity. Earlier this capacity was 72.5 percent. However, now the restriction has been lifted. It has been said by Union Civil Aviation Ministry that from October 18, all domestic flights will be operated with 100 percent capacity. It has been said in the order that the guidelines of coronavirus will still be followed. That is, during the journey, full care of the Covid-19 protocol will have to be taken.

Passenger capacity in domestic flights has been made 100 percent

In fact, after a complete ban on flights in the Corona lockdown last year, on 25 May 2020, the government allowed the passengers to fly with a capacity of 33 percent. After this, it was increased to 80 percent in December 2020. Meanwhile, in April and May this year, between the second wave of coronavirus, the government reduced the passenger capacity in domestic flights to 50 percent. After the decline in the cases of coronavirus, the capacity of passengers is being gradually increased. Now it has been made 100 percent. Also, It has been said in the order that the guidelines of coronavirus will still be followed
